CARE & WASH

WASHING

Please always check the care labels of our garments: there you can get all clear instructions needed.

Machine wash in cold or warm water and if possible, only with environmentally friendly laundry detergent.

Conventional cotton apparel is generally treated with chemicals like sodium hydroxide, chlorine, formaldehyde, iron, tin, potassium, bromines or even halogenes to create easy care clothing that is soft, wrinkle-resistant, stain and odor resistant, fireproof, mothproof, anti-static etc. Organic cotton is not treated with any of these toxic chemicals, that’s why it’s a little bit more sensitive for example to temperature, so in high heat it is possible for the cotton to shrink.

Shrinkage is worse for the lengths of the garments and is less noticeable for widths.

To avoid it, please only wash at 30°C, inside out, and don't forget to reshape it after the first wash, while it's still damp.

DRYING

Hang dry or dry flat, if possible outside, in the shade or in the Sun (depending on the design), and inside out, to keep the colour for long.

Please, if possible do not use a dryer, because high temperatures could affect the fit, and as organic cotton is not treated with chemicals to be wrinkle-resistant, it may get crumpled.

Save energy and use natural resources like wind and Sun to dry your garments in the garden!
